Prentiss House, Cambridge

The Prentiss House was originally built as a wedding gift by an architect for his wife….swoon!! When new ownership purchased the Inn, the interiors were dated and needed to be redesigned for a new demographic and their new innovative concept of limited staffing and services. This hotel allows the guests to make themselves at home and explore the bountiful offerings of the bustling neighborhood. To embrace the origin of the Prentiss House being a wedding gift, I wanted the aesthetic to be playful, romantic, feminine and masculine. I brought in pin stripes, floral prints and historical colors but incorporated them in playful ways.
